Project designer


At blue architecture + interiors we focus on great design, great service, and great results. We have deep experience in housing, mixed-use, healthcare, and hospitality design. Our downtown office is a block from the waterfront, and two blocks from the Bremerton-Seattle ferry in the beautiful northwest.

We are seeking a DESIGNER with 2+ years of professional experience skilled in project design, presentation graphics, programming, coordination with consultants, and confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes. A “can-do” approach and willingness to learn are a must on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret client needs and translate them into workable design concepts and construction systems; maintain quality technical and design control

  • Develop design and construction documents for projects ensuring the incorporation of the design intent, utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD software

  • Work with our team to develop construction details, research materials & systems, participate in product & code research, and incorporate regulatory requirements into technical documents Participate in the construction administration of projects

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong design skills, including 3-D modeling and presentation graphics

  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, standards and codes, including IBC codes

  • Construction documentation experience is preferred

  • Revit (including modeling and documentation) and AutoCAD

  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines, strong organizational skills

  • Work independently or with a team to complete projects on sometimes aggressive schedules

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing

  • Hand sketching, 3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp and Lumien

  • Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign graphic software abilities are a plus

Education: Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited university

Experience: 2+ years of professional architectural experience
