Project designer

We are seeking a PROJECT DESIGNER with 2+ years of professional experience competent in project design, presentation graphics, project programming, coordination of building systems with consultants, and confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes. A “can-do” approach and willingness to learn is a must on our team.
Responsibilities:
Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems; maintain quality technical and design control
Develop design and construction documents for projects; preparation and modification of permit and construction drawings, ensuring the incorporation of the design intent, utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software.
Work with our team to develop construction details, research materials & systems, participate in product & code research, and incorporate regulatory requirements into technical documents.
Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals
Skills and Competencies:
Strong design skills, including 3-D modeling and presentation graphics abilities
Familiarity with construction materials, methods, standards and codes, including Washington State IBC codes
Construction documentation experience is preferred
Revit (including modeling and documentation) and AutoCAD
Ability to effectively meet deadlines, strong organizational skills
Work independently or with a design team to complete projects on sometimes aggressive schedules
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp
Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software
Education: Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited university (preferred)
Experience: 2+ years of professional architectural experience
